Since the Enlightenment, countries have debated, sometimes violently, over which political path their countries should be on.  Sometimes European nations decided to take a new path, following radical liberal ideology, while sometimes they decided to return to old ways, following conservatism.  Provide one specific, well defined example of European liberalism and one specific, well defined example of European conservatism that we discussed or read about during this time period.  Which path seemed to make Europe more politically stable?
