Find a plagiarized passage or an essay on the Internet. Compare it with the original text in terms of word choice and sentence structure to identify the reasons why it is labeled as a plagiarized version. Note both the similarity and differences between the original and the plagiarized copy. Then, in a page, list the reasons that lead to plagiarism.
As you evaluate the plagiarized work, ask if it is too close to the original text in terms of wording and sentence structure. Mark, circle, or underline language or words that are borrowed from the original text without crediting its author.
Length: Two paragraphs, the first paragraph discusses the reasons why the new version is considered plagiarism and the second paragraph explains the reasons that may lead to academic dishonesty.
