Sites such as Facebook and Myspace have allowed people to reconnect or to meet for the first time. With the ability to create personal profiles, to include pictures, and to supply personal and professional information on these sites, people are divulging a lot of information over the Internet. Some people argue that social networking sites offer people the opportunity to build a stronger and ever-expanding community of friends from around the globe (a global community). Others argue that social networking sites cause problems because of the amount of information (whether negative or positive) that people provide to friends and strangers.

Also, remember to utilize outside sources that agree and help to strengthen your position in this essay; therefore, a minimum of two sources are required. With either position in this topic, there are plenty of critics who offer their opinions as well. You should have little problem finding these sources.
You should provide 3 pages, Times New Roman, 12-point font, and double-spaced for this essay. You must also format your essay using APA format. Remember, a strong essay will have a clear thesis statement that establishes your position. The remainder of your essay will support your thesis statement with reasons and evidence.
After you have written your introduction and thesis statement, you should consider what you will use in order to convince your audience. For each – ethos, pathos, and logos – write a paragraph in which you describe how you would use this appeal in your essay.
